About

Stephanie Veber (MVMTA), has been learning to play piano since the age of 4. Though classically trained, she has a love and appreciation for playing a wide range of genres and musical styles. With more than 10 years experience teaching piano, Stephanie has a variety of experience teaching both in her own private studio, previously at music schools and also teaching piano online. As well as teaching piano, she also enjoys collaborating and playing with other musicians. Stephanie is a fully accredited member of the Victorian Music Teachers' Association (VMTA).

Teaching

Stephanie loves to teach students of all ages and abilities. Her lessons are tailored to suit each individual student's goals and interests. She teaches students who wish to do AMEB and ANZCA practical and theory exams, as well as students learning for leisure. Stephanie believes that incorporating a variety of musical styles and genres into lessons and giving students some ownership over what they learn fosters a love and interest in music in all her students. Lessons typically centre around teaching fundamental technique, sight reading skills, theory and building repertoire.

Why South Side Piano?

As well as being mainly based in the inner South of Melbourne in the suburb of Ripponlea, Stephanie also teaches in other suburbs in Melbourne's South including Elwood, St Kilda, Balaclava, Elsternwick, Brighton, Sandringham and Mentone. She loves living and working on the South Side of Melbourne and wanted that to reflect in her business name.

As well as music, Stephanie is a passionate languages educator with almost 7 years' experience teaching Japanese in both primary and high school settings, as well as tutoring Spanish.
